Social Enterprise

The Farm Buyer Club is a social enterprise and what this means is we are set up to serve the interests of our members first and foremost. We understand first hand the hardship and difficulties that Britain’s family farms face in many ways not just financial, thus we will donate and invest 10% of all profits to agricultural charities and back into British Agriculture.

Farming has the highest suicide rate of any industry in the UK. Our aim is to try to reverse this in any way possible either through supporting appropriate charities, to help save money and to create a community where farmers can find help and support from their fellow contemporaries.

28 Not Out

Farm Buyer Club has partnered with the Mintridge Foundation, in particular their 28 Not Out Fund.

The fund was created in the memory of Max Hunter who sadly died by suicide in August 2019 aged 28, Max was a Farmer.

This fund goes into Agricultural Colleges and Universities in the UK to educate the next generation about mental health in the hope of preventing the tragedy that was Max's death happening to other families. Also with the aim of keeping his caring and sporting memory alive, changing perceptions and challenging stereotypes in the process.

Farm Buyer Club is proud to support this initiative as the people in the farming industry are the most important and often most overlooked. Teaching mental health well being and self care is as important as any part of any farming family business.

By supporting Farm Buyer Club you are directly supporting this initiative.

About Harry

The Farm Buyer Club was the idea of mixed livestock farmer Harry Hodgson. In the process of running the family farm Harry noticed a huge range of prices for identical products or services and having spoken with larger farming outfits realized that there was huge disparity in what UK farmers pay for goods, with the larger farms often paying less. Harry identified a huge opportunity for the farming industry to pull together as one and to create a buying club to give the power back to the farmer and help all farms get the best price when buying.
